Right from My Backyard: 4th of July Fireworks

Ok confession… I have never shot fireworks before! I don’t know why, probably because I have never gone to the beach or to places where you can view them closely to photograph. However, where I live I am able to see fireworks all down the coast, maybe 6 different locations around me in different areas. When I went outside to watch the fireworks I saw that I might have a good chance of capturing them this year. I had walked up the street with my family to get a good viewing and DID NOT BRING MY CAMERA because I didn’t think I could capture the fireworks, which was a big mistake! It shows you that you should never doubt yourself. But luckily my brother brought the golf cart and took me back to the house and I ran and grabbed my equipment and went back. I shot the fireworks for about 30 minutes. I love the shots I got and couldn’t believe it when I was processing them. The only downfall is I woke up the next day with 51 mosquito bites all over me, but I guess it was worth it! 🙂 Comment and tell me your favorite shot!

Nashville Lights

Nashville is such a magical musical city! I could have spent a whole another week photographing just the city alone. Here is my favorite shot from my trip, the whole city lit up at night! Photographed from the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge at sunset.
